Walk with Me in the Berkshires

Walk with Me in the Berkshires Registration is closed for 2010. All 1,500 registration slots have been filled.
Berkshire Health Systems' popular Walk with Me in the Berkshires program is back for 2010. Now in its 8th year, Walk with Me in the Berkshires encourages people to exercise through walking or running by providing free pedometers to participants and a step-reporting system that allows them to track their step increases each week.
In 2010, the first 1,500 community residents who registered to participate received free pedometers as members of walking teams, made up of anywhere between 2 and 20 people per team. In addition, Berkshire Health Systems runs a parallel program for its employees, allowing up to 1,500 employees to participate in the program, for a total participation level of 3,000 people regionwide.
The goal of the program is to increase your step count each week. Week 1 is a baseline reporting week, giving you the baseline number to use as you work to increase your walking each successive week throughout the six week program.
Walking is great exercise, and the beautiful Berkshires is a great place to do it. Click on any of the related links on the left side of this page to find out more about the 2010 Walk with Me in the Berkshires program.
